2007 Aubichon Cellars Pinot Noir Reserve

Varietal: Pinot Noir

Maturation: Aged in 50% new oak

Total Production: 325 cases

Reviews: “Deep crimson-coloured, it displays an enticing bouquet of cedar, spice box, damp earth, and assorted red fruits. Medium-bodied and elegant on the palate, it has a solid core of succulent fruit, enough fine-grained tannin to evolve for 1-2 years, and a lengthy, pure finish. Drink this tasty effort from 2011 to 2019.” 90 pts, (Jay Miller Wine Advocate)

“Bright red. Sexy aromas of raspberry, cherry-cola, Asian spices and rose, with a hint of smokiness coming up with aeration. Lively, gently sweet red fruit flavours are complicated by notes of sassafras and anise, with the cola note repeating on the back half. The persistent finish is brisk, focused and gently sweet, leaving smoke and floral notes behind. Showing good complexity now but has the vivacity to reward at least a few more years of patience. This is a new project of Le Cadeau’s Tom Mortimer.” 90 pts, (Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar)
