Le Cadeau Vineyard

Willamette Valley

2008 Pinot Noir Diversité

2008 Pinot Noir Diversité

Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes: The Diversite cuvee is named for the varied selection of clones planted throughout Le Cadeau vineyard, and which are the fruit source for this wine. Unfiltered and powerful, this wild Pinot Noir features deep boysenberry and earth flavours which yield to lingering tones of licorice and spice.

Reviews: “The most aromatically complex of the Le Cadeau offerings is the 2008 Pinot Noir Diversite with it’s alluring notes of sandalwood, Asian spices, incense, rose petal, black cherry, and black raspberry. Exceptionally ripe and sweet on the palate with densely packed, structured fruit, this savoury, mouth-filling effort will reward 3-4 years of cellaring. Drink it from 2013 - 2023.” 93 points, (Jay Miller, http://www.erobertparker.com, Oct. 2010)

“This is dark, dense and distinctive for its strong floral and mineral component, hinting at violet and hot stone as the currant and blackberry fruit pushes into the long, expressive finish. Needs time to settle into itself. Best from 2012 through 2020. 270 cases made.” 91 points, (HS, Wine Spectator, Dec. 2010)
