Review: “The Persephone vineyard is Peju’s sustainably farmed site in Napa Valley. The grapes are picked at three different levels of ripeness and then blended. Although the nose is a touch shy, it nevertheless exhibits delicate minerality, white floral notes and grapefruit. The palate is quite succulent and vibrant showing hints of tropical fruit such as pineapple and passion fruit along with stone fruit such as white peach and pear. Only a small percentage of this wine is barrel fermented in old oak and is barely noticeable but adds an extra layer of complexity to the wine. Bright, lively, citrus acidity balances the wine which ends with a dry and lingering finish. Quite complex and unique in its style.” 89 points, Sara d’Amato.
