Review: “Château la Grolet is certified both organic and biodynamic. This 2005 wine, a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, is just starting to show some signs of bottle maturity, with pretty aromas of raspberry, cherry, leather and cocoa. The tannins are softening and silky, and the fruit is emerging nicely. Try it tonight with roast beef au jus; it will also continue to improve in cellar for another 2-4 years. Our Quality Assurance Laboratory has determined that this wine contains 11 mg/L of free sulphur.” (VINTAGES, LCBO)
