Varietal: 100% Barbera

Tasting notes: Sourced exclusively from the high altitude (400m asl) south-east facing, estate owned, San Stefanetto vineyard, which is less than half a hectare. Soil is made up of calcareous rock, where vines average 25 years, and are planted quite densely, at 6,000 vines per hectare. Hand harvested in October. Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks temperature controlled to 28°-30°C, then aged 14 months in barriques, and a further 6 mo in bottle. This wine has a deep ruby-red colour with hints of purple. The elegant nose is a blend of fruits (cherry, raspberry and blueberry). The mouth has a full round body with a rich structure with an elegant long finish.
