Bolgheri Ocra 2006

Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot
Maturation: 12 months in barriques
Suggested food: Red meat roasts, game, charcuterie and medium-very ripe cheeses
Tasting note / Review: The colour is deep ruby red. The bouquet has long notes of blackberries and blueberries with a slight hint of leather. On the palate, fine, keen and warm.
"A potent cabernet sauvignon, syrah and merlot blend, this is very stylish, with licorice, blackberry and black cherry aromas and flavours. Along the way are hints of violets, vanilla and dark chocolate. Tons of subtleties." - 91 pts, Gord Stimmell
"Currant, fresh herb and powdered chocolate on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a fresh, clean finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Best after 2010. 4,000 cases made. –JS" 88 pts, Wine Spectator.
