This historical walled vineyard lies in front of the castle in Chinon, which is situated near the Vienne River, one of the tributaries of the Loire.  These vines enjoy a southern exposure on five levels of terraces facing the fortress of Chinon and the Vienne, thereby maximizing sunlight and warmth.

Reviews: "Really packed for the vintage, with nearly lush raspberry ganache and blackberry fruit flavours laid over bittersweet cocoa, macerated olive and spice. The long, fine-grained finish lets the minerality shine. Drink now through 2011. - J.M." 92 pts, Wine Spectator.
