Domaine Michel Prunier et Fille

Burgundy (Auxey-Duresses)

Chorey-les-Beaune 2005

Varietal: Pinot Noir 100%

Soil type: Limestone and marl

Age of vines: 20 years

Maturation: 10 months in French oak

Alcohol: 13.3%

Suggested food: Red meats; grilled meats

Tasting notes: When you imagine a red wine from the Côte d’Or, you might imagine a light to medium bodied wine, with red berries and wet earth characteristics on the nose.  That description accurately describes this Old World style Pinot Noir. The vines enjoy a eastern, south-eastern exposure to the sun, on moderately flat plains of limestone and marl, a soil ideally suited to Pinot Noir.
