Wines
Château Peybonhomme
Bordeaux (Premières Côtes de Blaye)
Cru Bourgeois 2005

Certified Organic (ECOCERT)
Varietals: 75% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec
Soil type: Clay
Alcohol: 13%
Tasting notes: Dark ruby core to vivid, bright ruby rim. Medium to high intensity nose displays jammy blackberry, intense sweet and ripe fruit bursting from the glass. Red licorice, oregano, fresh basil, caramel and soy sauce notes linger in the background. Palate is full bodied, with plush, warm, sweet blackberry and plum notes, alongside mineral notes and red licorice. The fine grained tannins are firm, yet silky that help focus a medium to long finish, leaving you with a touch of vanilla. Drinking beautifully now, and should hold for 3 - 7 years, if not more.
