Grand Cru Winzenberg Riesling 2005
Varietal: Riesling
Cases produced: 110
Tasting Notes:
The region’s most popular wine, this Grand Cru Riesling manifests the variety’s greatness and boldness with intense fruit on the bouquet. This wine’s parcel is exposed south-south-east and is mainly composed of decomposed granite, a light and porous ground yielding wine of great smoothness. On the palate, the acidity is well-balanced with residual sugar, offering a mouthful of fresh and crisp granny smith apple. It is refined, light, full of charm and exoticism. Appearing thin on the palate in their youth, the Winzenberg will affirm its greatness as a Grand Cru with age.
