Reviews: John Szabo’s - Smart Buy for the Week.

“Loimer’s hands-off, natural (biodynamic, in fact) approach to wine production is evidenced here in this excellent 2009. The nose is almost pure stony minerality the way we like it, with underlying ripe, concentrated fruit and intriguing herbal and herb flower notes. The palate is fullish, succulent, nicely concentrated, with a beautiful range of flavours and excellent length. A superb, vibrant wine here, especially at this price. Buy by the case. Tasted July 2011 Value Rating: ***.” (John Szabo, Master Sommelier, WineAlign)

”Very aromatic nose of spicy white pepper, grapefruit and white flowers. Palate is juicy with lemon-lime flavours and plenty of scintillating minerality. Distinctive and well-concentrated with an elegant, progressive layering of flavours. Zesty and spicy. Tasted June 2011.”
