The Heissenberg Riesling is a wonderful reminder of the hot summer days shared with friends and a bottle of wine.  With hints of grapefruit and lemon rind on the nose, its palate refreshes with its crisp acidity and bursts citrus and mineral characteristics. It is elegant, light, yet persists with a clean, crisp, slightly tart finish.

Tasting Notes / Reviews:

"What a marvelous Riesling!  Lemon verbena, fresh pine and minerals. Medium bodied with sugar coated candied apple flavour, outstanding acidity, dry and stony finish. 4 ½ stars." - Zoltan Szabo

"A delicious, mouth-awakening riesling with vibrant aromas of pear and green apple. Pair with: salmon, shellfish, vegetarian dishes. Score: 91/100. Favorite White Wine." - Natalie MacLean

"A slightly oxidative ambiance makes this less brilliant than many rieslings nowadays, and drops the rating, but there is exotic pear, spice and petrol complexity and lovely, rounded, rich texture with fine acidity and minerality. Excellent length. The allotment purchased by the LCBO represents half the total annual production of this small, organic winery. 87 points" - David Lawrason

"The wine trade and connoisseurs alike favour Riesling I think because it is never boring. It’s tough to taste 100 Pinot Grigios happily but you can taste 100 Rieslings and still want more. If you want to see what I’m getting at, pick up this bottle. It explains everything with its sleek texture, sensuous weight, and that expanding universe thing going on with each sip. So you sip again. And again. Each time getting so much more than the flavours of lemon, red apple, minerals, and white flower."- Wine Tribune.
