Tasting notes / Review: A deep brilliant red, an intense, persistent nose of fruits and spices, with some hints of dried rose, cherry and tobacco. On the palate it shows a good, firm body and very refined tannins, with notes of violet, mint and vibrant fruit. 

"This is essentially declassified Barbaresco from the Basarìn vineyard, from a parcel of young wines under 15 years old. The nose is fully open and fragrant, absolutely classic Nebbiolo in a clean and modern but still authentic style. Delicate rose petals dried cherry and cranberry fruit and a characteristic touch of tar and leather. The palate is fullish, very spicy, ripe and generously alcohol. This is a real beauty, and drinks like a fine Barbaresco at Langhe Nebbiolo prices.By this by the case if you can and drink over the next 5-6 years." 91 pts, John Szabo, MS.
