Review: ”Loan’s 2005 Shiraz was barrel-fermented and spent 30 months in new American oak. A saturated purple colour, it exhibits an expressive perfume of smoke, Asian spices, bacon, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur. Still tightly wound on the palate, it has a tannic finish that will ultimately need to be resolved. It has plenty of fruit but whether it will come into balance remains to be seen.” 90+ pts, Jay Miller eRobertParker.com
