Suggested food: Rich meat dishes and ripe cheeses
Tasting notes: The wine has a deep ruby colour with violet highlights. The nose explodes with small black ripe fruits, as well as vanilla and spicy notes from the oak maturation. On the palate, the wine has a fine structure, characterized by dense elegant tannins, rich berry flavours and prolonged persistence on the palate.
2004 Maremma A Solo "Intense blackberry and floral aromas follow through to a full body, with chewy tannins and a blackberry and cherry finish. Petit Verdot. Best after 2008. 2,500 cases made." 88 pts James Suckling, Wine Spectator
