Pinot Noir 2012

Pinot Noir 2012

Varietal: Pinot Noir

Vineyards: Waldo Hills Vineyard, Battle Creek Vineyard, Kraemer Vineyard, Red Hills Vineyard (in several AVAs in Oregon)

Aging: 12 months in 100% French oak (20% new)

Alcohol: 12.0%

Tasting note:

A lovely Pinot from a fantastic vintage. Rich raspberry aroma, with black cherry and rose petal notes. The French oak complements the fruit, and the wine has an elegant finish.

Review:

“This bright pinot has a gamy-like scent, pronounced raspberry flavours and smokiness, like lapsang souchong tea. There’s an interesting tension between the fruit and the savory elements, and more complexity than you’d expect to find at this price.” - “BEST BUY” - 90 pts (Wine & Spirits Magazine, Aug 2014)
