Pinorama Trockenbeerenauslese 2001

Varietals: Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc
Soil type: Loess-loam soils to sandy gravel and deep humus-sand
Maturation: Fermented and aged in French barriques
Alcohol: 11%
Tasting notes / Review: Deep, brilliant yellow-golden hue. Subdued, tropical fruit aromas. A rich entry to a sweet, full bodied palate with vanilla, orange notes and an edge of acidity. Will develop beautifully for a very long-term.
"Lush, smoky and rich, with layers of ripe fruit, spice and cream flavors. There’s a strong element of candied apricot as well, with notes of grapefruit and allspice on the finish. Gorgeous. Drink now through 2015. 125 cases made." 93 pts, Wine Spectator.
