Varietals: Montepulciano 60%, Sangiovese 40%

The blend is made from a selection of Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Lacrima grapes, from organically grown vines that are well exposed to then sun and well aired.  The grape yield per hectare varies according to the potential of the vines and according to the vintage, however is usually no greater than 80-90 quintals. Vinification is done separately for each varietal, in temperature controlled fermentation process.  Refinement takes place over a period of 24 months, of which 10 months is in barriques and tonneaux, 10 months in stainless steel and 4 months in the bottle.
