Tasting notes / Reviews: “Lovely, classic old style Rioja showing plenty of American oak character (toasted coconut) from its long sojourn in barrel, alongside dried red berry/raspberry/strawberry, savoury herbs, dusty earth and dried mushroom notes - fine complexity. The palate is all about the silky, delicate, feminine texture, fine dusty tannins and cleansing acidity. This is fully mature yet still balanced between fruit and evolved character. Perfectly integrated, long finish. Delightful old style.” 92 pts, John Szabo, MS, Wine Access First In Line eReport
”Medium red. Suave red berry, kirsch, anise and dried rose aromas are compelling and strikingly precise. Silky in texture and packed with sweet red berry, licorice, vanilla bean and floral pastille flavors. Fine-grained tannins lend structure to this suave, flat-out delicious wine, which possesses outstanding depth and complexity and finishes with haunting floral echoes.” (Jul/Aug 2007) - 93 points, Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
