Spätburgunder Trocken 2007
Varietal: Spätburgunder
Soil type: Chalk and limestone
Tasting note / Review: This dry Pinot Noir was aged in new and used barriques and shows everything a fine Pinot has to show; dark berries and a hint of spiciness in combination with an elegant and long finish. But still this wine is far away from being a lightweight because of its complex structure and its dense flavours.
“Very clean and obviously very ripe, almost into the blueberry aroma and cherry liqueur spectrum. The palate is fullish, soft plush, with low, sweet tannins and caramel oak. More of a New World-style.” 90 pts, John Szabo, MS
