The wine then opens with aeration to reveal additional layers of depth and complexity. The palate is dry, firm, savoury, herbal, dark spice, with intense flavours, moderate tannins, balanced acidity and enough class and elegance to make this more interesting than the average. Firm cherry skin and cassis flavors are brightened by juicy acidity and are curiously tannin-free.
