Founded in Oberloiben in 1898, the Pichler estate has developed a reputation as a Grüner Veltliner specialist since Franz Pichler Sr began selecting his own clones in 1928. The estate was once fulsomely described by Robert Parker as the “Château Latour, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Zind-Humbrecht, Sandrone and Helen Turley of the Wachau”.

Martin Nigl is a first-generation winemaker, beginning in 1985 after convincing his family to keep the fruit from their small quantity of vines and bottle it themselves rather than selling it to the local co-op.

A member of the eleventh generation of his family to work in wine, Erwin Tinhof studied viticulture and oenology at the University of Montpellier and trained at the great Mas de Daumas Gassac. He now has 14 hectares of vineyards in Eisenstadt, located in the north of Burgenland.

Carrying on his family's winemaking tradition, Fred Loimer studied oenology at Austria’s Klosterneuburg University before gaining valuable work experience in Nahe, Germany, and the Napa Valley.

Weingut Hajszan Neumann is located at the foot of the Nussberg and the district of Grinzing, with 20 hectares ofcertified biodynamic vineyards spread across the mineral rich weathered limestone soils.

Weingut Wieninger is comprised of 50 hectares of certified biodynamic vines on two main sites: Bisamberg (35 hectares) and the smaller Nussberg (15 hectares), separated by the Danube river.
