Papantonis Winery was established in 1993 in Nemea by siblings Antony and Kallie Papantonis. The vineyards, focusing on indigenous varieties, are situated just outside of the village Malandreni.
Antonis was born in Athens, Greece , studied in U.S. accounting and worked in various constructions companies in Africa and Asia. After a few years he returned to Greece and decided to move to Malandreni, between the city of Nemea and the city of Argos.In 1979 he bought 27 acres of land to grow Agiorgitiko, and a few years later set up his own winery.
Today they have 20 acres of Agiorgitiko variety, purchases Roditis and Chardonnay from other growers.

Metron Ariston
Papantonis Winery was established in 1993 in Nemea by siblings Antony and Kallie Papantonis. The vineyards, are situated just outside of the village Malandreni. Metron Ariston (meaning ‘moderation is best’) is a blend of Roditis (65%) and Chardonnay (35%), planted on their estate's sandy clay soils. Ripe and sun-rich, with fleshy yellow plum, perfumed white peach, melon, and bitter citrus on an expansive core, held to a smart 13%.
