Read below for details, along with link to purchase.
Domaine Guillaume Vrignaud Fourchaume Les Vaupulans Chablis 1er Cru 2023
The Vrignaud family, settled in the village of Fontenay-près-Chablis, have been growing vines for 5 generations. Guillaume Vrignaud started to bottle his first wines in 1999, and became certified organic in 2009. They have 28 hectares today. From the Les Vaupulans climat in Fourchaume 1er Cru, this is from 30+ year old vines, native fermented with MLF and aging on lees in a mix of stainless and barrels over 1 year.
"Apple core, sweet spice and spring blooms light up the nose. The velvety texture and generous fruit concentration are compelling. It's a bit less complex than usual, but it certainly doesn't disappoint. With a bit more time, it may grow in flavor depth, too. This is from the highest portion of Guillaume's Fourchaume vines, and it lights up the back palate with almost nervous acidity." 93 points, Christy Canterbury, MW
