Mont Rose Rosé

Rose

Domaine Montrose
Mon Rose Rosé

This elegant, pale rosé is a blend of Grenache and Cinsault from Languedoc's calcareous clay, volcanic gravels. Dry and crisp, with hints of summer berry, florals, and Mediterranean citrus, this vibrant rosé finishes with a rasp of tannins, making it particularly food-friendly.

“From a historically significant estate just outside of Pézenas that has been producing wine as far back as the 16th century, this bright and salty blend of grenache and cinsault sourced from calcareous clay and volcanic gravels is delicately perfumed with notes of fresh blossom, pink grapefruit. On the palate sea salt, lavender and wild thyme are reminiscent of the French Mediterranean coast. Vibrant, cleanly made, and well-priced. Punches above its designation. Tasted April 2024.” - 90 points, Sara d’Amato, WineAlign.com

“Arch-classic Languedoc style of Rosé representative of the last two decades. Pale and calming for a chill on hot pool, pond and sea days. That said the levels of unction and even creaminess are creeping up, noted here with Coste’s neither immune nor in avoidance of the sliding and changing scale. You gotta stick with this a bit to notice and appreciate the new modifications rising to establish such a nuanced Rosé. A good thing and more for now available for everyone to get involved. Drink 2024-2026. Tasted April 2024.” - 90 points, Michael Godel, WineAlign.com
