From Marcel Deiss’ biodynamically farmed vineyards, this is a cofermented field blend of Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Muscat à petits grains, Gewürztraminer, Sylvaner, Pinot Auxerrois, Pinot Beurot, Muscat Blanc, Rose d’Alsace, Traminer, plus others. This was native fermented in foudre, where it rested for one year on lees, with zero inputs throughout, including sulphur. The striking bottle, label, and name preview the wine inside: a contemplative and intellectual (yet delish) blend. Rosewater, ginger, and crushed florals lead and carry through the fragrant pear, perfumed quince, apricot woven throughout the medium bodied palate, lined with a gentle cushion of lees, and finishing with humming salinity. Great cohesion and completeness in this harmonious blend.
