San Valentino is owned by the Mascarin family since 1990, and is a certified organic estate centered on the hills of Rimini, in Emilia-Romagna, near the sea. The vineyards extend over 17 hectares of land around 150m, all spread over the clay and limestone laced hills and facing south and south-west; 70% of these vines are Sangiovese and Rebola varieties, while the rest are Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Merlot. Roberto Mascarin took over from his father in 1997, making significant changes that have resulted in San Valentino cemented as one of the leading names in the area.
