The history of Bodegas Y Viñedos de Gómez Cruzado goes back to 1886, when Ángel Gómez de Arteche, a relative of the Duke of Moctezuma, descendant of the Aztec Emperor Moctezuma II, decided to trade with La Rioja wines and settled in Haro’s Barrio de la Estación, the historic heart of Rioja.

Owned by Florentino Martinez Monje, Luberri is located in Elciego in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Florentino farms 35 ha of old vines. A farmer at heart, Florentino was the original winemaker at Artadi before establishing his own winery in 1992.

Bodegas Hermanos de Peciña is a winery founded in 1992 by Pedro Peciña, the former agronomist for La Rioja Alta.

Cognac-born consultant winemaker and viticulturist Olivier Rivière was lured to Spain in 2004 by Telmo Rodriguez to convert his vineyards to biodynamics.
