This Sangiovese, from three vineyards at Casato Prime Donne, is situated on the cool northern area of Montalcino at about 225m, rooted in clays and sands. This was native fermented in stainless and concrete vats, before aging 6-12 months in large tonneaux. Wild cherry, black raspberry is kissed with smoked stones, and wrapped with sticky tannins through a spiced end. Still quite youthful, this Rosso has time ahead.
