Fitapreta Vinhos
This characterful blend of aragonez, alicante bouschet, trincadeira, and castelão comes from the rocky schistous and granite vineyards of Alentejo and vines planted 1979-1989 at 300-400m. After the berries were popped and native fermented in stainless, they rested between French barrel and stainless for 12 months. Layered with boysenberry, wild blueberry, and sultry plum, this fuller, stony red is hugged by lightly sticky tannins, finishing with a dusting of baking spice and a kiss of anise. A natural for grilled sausages.
