This Chardonnay comes off hillside calcareous clays at 280-320m, in Monferrato. It was native fermented in clay amphoras, with 90 days on the skins before an additional 6 months on fine lees there, with bâtonnage. Pouring a shining golden hue, this very natural wine teems with apricot, white peach, kumquat, bergamot tea, orange oil along a finely grippy palate. VA is noticeable but acceptable, and with a chill and salty snacks you're on your way. Atypical, for sure.
