From a mix of Leithaberg’s limestone, sandstone, mica schist soils, this spent 20 months in older 500L barrels. Wild plum, wild blackberry, perfumed red currant are layered throughout the schistous frame. Tannins are long and taut, housing this to a mineral laden finish. Finessed and understated from the cooler 2017 vintage, this is drinking beautifully now.
