This St. Laurent was grown on mica schist, and started native ferment in stainless before moving into bottle. This was disgorged in spring 2022. Light elderflower, green apple, Asian pear blossom skip along the slight 10.9% palate, with a buzzy, grippy, saline underlay, and fine texture. Light, dry, pure, and refreshing.
"This is made entirely from St. Laurent, a common red grape of Austria. It pours pale burnished gold/brass. The nose is low key, a touch grapy with some apricot, raisin, hay and spice. It is light to medium bodied, very dry and firm with high acidity. More flavour intensity than expected as well, with excellent length. Rather brash.
