Szászi Birtok
Zenit
This organically farmed Zenit was native fermented and aged in steel. Fragrant white flowers, lemon pith, lemon blossoms, crunchy Asian pear flood the mouth with juicy acidity, finishing steely and dry. A lovely, fresh and crisp white ready for salads and shellfish dishes. Zenit is a cross between Bouvier and Ezerjo.
"This is a delicious, bright and very clean semi-aromatic white from the local zenit variety, a crossing created in Hungary in 1951. It reminds me a bit of pinot gris or sylvaner. The nose is gentle, bright peach, mandarin with a floral note, plus some leesy character. It is medium-full bodied, fairly rounded, just barely off dry and honeyed on the palate, with a bitter finish. The length is excellent. A very pleasant surprise. Tasted January 2021." - 90 points, David Lawrason, WineAlign.com
