Rosé Blaufränkisch

From Burgenland’s Eisenstaedter vineyard, this organic Blaufränkisch is from vines 34-49 years old, rooted in calcareous clays and gravels, at 180-220m. It was native fermented in steel, where it remained for a brief time on lees before bottling.

The delicate pink hue is mirrored with the delicate blossoms opening the palate, followed by crunchy and fresh pink grapefruit, perfumed Asian pear, tangerine, all lit with a buzzy energy running the length of this sleek, bone dry pink. A beauty.

“Tinhof's 2025 blaufränkisch rosé pours a pale pink in the Provençal style, delivering less reductive notes than in years past, here offering a spritzy mix of tart red berry-cherry and lemon zest, crunchy acids, bone dry, tart even, with good length. A gastronomic rosé in the end. Tasted October 2026.” - 90 points, John Szabo, MS, WineAlign.com

“A pale Rosé made with a red grape known for its colour intensity, and at times also blueish hue. Feels like a southern French attempt for similar stylistic, and for the most part it works out superbly. Fine acids, tart intensity, and more than ample length for Rosé. The vintage did not hurt the cause. Drink 2026-2027. Tasted October 2026.” - 90 points, Michael Godel, WineAlign.com
