Revana Family Vineyards is owned by Dr. Madaiah Revana who currently is a practicing Cardiologest in Houston, Texas. He grew up however, on a farm in India near Bangalore which perhaps provided the initial background to enter a specialized agricultural field such as the wine industry.

With a passion for Bordeaux and a personal philosophy of the importance of balance between autonomy and collaboration, Dr. Revana enlists the talents of Thomas Rivers Brown as winemaker, and Jim Barbour as vineyard manager, to create one of Napa Valley’s premier estates.

Wine quality begins in the vineyard. The Revana Estate Vineyard is situated in a prime part of St. Helena where deep, well-drained alluvial soils pair with warm days and cool nights to provide an ideal terroir for Cabernet Sauvignon. Hands-on vineyard management ensures that the natural potential of each vine is realized and only perfect Cabernet grapes are brought into the winery. Once in the winery, Thomas Brown’s artfully restrained approach to winemaking allows for the pure expression of the Revana Estate Vineyard. Employing natural yeasts, gentle maceration and attention to every detail, Thomas crafts wines of purity, depth, character and elegance.
