Since the Middle Ages saffron was produced across Toscana, including on the Fanti family estate, and it remains a fragrant and precious ingredient of the region. Following Fanti’s bottling of their estate olive oils, they’ve recently been harvesting and packaging organic saffron from their Val d’Orcia estate. We are proud to import this into Canada as part of our Provisions portfolio, and it makes a thoughtful complement to our range of Fanti olive oils, and wines.
